Witness Tanzania’s largest concentration of elephants at Tarangire national park, then get up close to one of Africa’s seven natural wonders – Ngorongoro crater, end up with the introduction of Tanzania’s bird life and tree climbing lions at lake Manyara national park.

Itenerary (Day by Day)

Welcome to Tanzania and thanks for Choosing Alpine chat adventure a local tour company in Moshi Tanzania feel at home and enjoy, upon arrival to Kilimanjaro International Airport and transferred to your hotel in Moshi about a 45-minute drive from the airport, Your Alpine chat adventure safari guide will meet you for briefing.

DAY 1: MOSHI TO TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK

In the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel in Moshi and drive to Tarangire National Park, which is known for its huge baobab trees and large herds of elephants. Its sparse vegetation makes it a beautiful and special location, where up to 300 elephants can be found, looking for underground streams in the dry riverbeds. Migratory wildebeest, zebra and buffalo can also be seen crowding the shrinking lagoons.This African national park is also home to three rare species of animals – the Greater Kudu, the Fringed-eared Oryx, as well as a few Ashy Starlings. Here you will enjoy an afternoon game drive with a picnic lunch.

DAY 2: TARANGIRE TO NGORONGORO CRATER

Today you’ll rise early in the morning after breakfast to descend the 600m high walls to the floor of the Ngorongoro crater and get up close with one of Africa’s seven natural wonders!, The home of an estimated 30,000 animals including some of Tanzania’s last remaining black rhino. Supported by year-round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro Crater supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. Another big draw card to this picturesque national park is its dense population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the ever-elusive leopard, which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot.You will enjoy a picnic lunch in the crater and late in the afternoon, you will drive up the Crater Rim to your campisite forshower, Dinner and overnight.

DAY 3: NGORONGORO CRATER TO LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK.

In the morning, drive to Lake Manyara National Park, this is located within the Great Rift Valley. Lake Manyara boasts a spectacular setting, famous for its tree-climbing lions and soda-ash Lake. Blessed with its forest habitat, harboring elephants, giraffes, baboons, blue monkeys and bushbuck, just to name a few. The park also provides the perfect introduction to Tanzania’s birdlife. The shores of the lake, encrusted with pink flamingo, attract more than 400 species of birds, many of them waterfowl or migrants. Enjoy a game drive and late afternoon; depart to Moshi where you will prepare for your trip back home or your journey to Zanzibar.

If recommended accommodation options are fully booked, Alpine chat adventure will reserve the clients in accommodation that is of comparable standards to those listed and notify the client. Supplemental charges apply for all lodge accommodations (standard, Luxury, exclusive) on the following dates: Jan 1, Easter weekend and December 24, 25, 26 and 31. The supplement fee varies for the different lodge options and will be added to the price if traveling on any of these dates.
