Itenerary (Day by Day)

Welcome to Tanzania and thanks for Choosing Alpine chat adventure a local tour company in Moshi Tanzania feel at home and enjoy, upon arrival to Kilimanjaro International Airport and transferred to your hotel in Moshi about a 45-minute drive from the airport, Your Alpine chat adventure safari guide will meet you for briefing.

DAY 1: MOSHI TO TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK

In the morning, we will pick you up from your hotel in Moshi and drive to Tarangire National Park, which is known for its huge baobab trees and large herds of elephants. Its sparse vegetation makes it a beautiful and special location, where up to 300 elephants can be found, looking for underground streams in the dry riverbeds. Migratory wildebeest, zebra, and buffalo can also be seen crowding the shrinking lagoons. Here you will enjoy an afternoon game drive with a picnic lunch. Late afternoon you will drive to the outskirts of the rim of Ngorongoro Crater for hot shower, dinner and overnight.

DAY 2: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK VIA OLDUVAI GORGE

Today you drive to one of the most famous game parks in Africa, the Serengeti! Known to host one of the most amazing wildlife spectacles on earth – the great migration ofwildebeest and zebra – the Serengeti’s vast plains are also home to a haven of otherwildlife, including lions, cheetahs, leopards and many other predators.On the way to Serengeti, you will stop by Olduvai Gorge, one of the most importantpale anthropological sites in the world. Olduvai George is the prehistoric site where Dr. Louis Leakey discovered the remains of Homo habilis (“Handy man”) regarded as mankind’s first step on the path of human evolution. Here you will witness the place occupied by thefirst human species 1.9 million years ago. Enjoy awesome game drive and in the late afternoon you will drive to the lodge in Serengeti for having hot shower, dinner and overnight.

DAY 3: SERENGETI TO NGORONGORO HIGHLANDS

This morning,after enjoying a beautiful Serengeti sunrise, you will catch a glimpse of lions and other predators on their morning huntduring your first game drive. After brunch, you will then leave the park and go for the finalgame drive while on your way to the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa's sevennatural wonders! Before dinner is served, enjoy awesome views of the crater below.
Overnight stay at Ngorongoro Rhino lodge.

DAY 4: NGORONGORO CRATER AND MAASAI VILLAGE

Today you’ll rise early in the morning to descend the 600m high walls to the floor of thecrater and get up close with one of Africa's seven natural wonders! Listed as a UNESCOWorld Heritage Site, it is considered one of the most beautiful and unique places in Africa.Here you will find a haven of African wildlife and with high chance to witnessthe endangered Rhino! And other big five animals. In the afternoon, you will have the chance to stop at a Maasai village on the NgorongoroHighlands. On this tour, you can expect to learn about the Maasai religious beliefs, cultureand lifestyle. You will have the opportunity to enter into one of their traditional dwellingsand hear them sing and dance (and join in if you wish) and see their famous jumping abilities. This trip also offers the opportunity to buy Maasai crafts direct from the tribe.After the visit, you will drive to your Lodge for hot shower, dinner and overnight.

DAY 5: LAKE EYASI TO MOSHI

After breakfast, you will get the chance to visit the Bushmen tribe of Datoga or Hadzabeand learn about their culture and way of life. A tour will give you the opportunity to goalong on a hunt and experience their great hunting skills with arrows and bows, as well asenjoy some singing and dancing ceremonies. Late afternoon; depart to Moshi where you will prepare for your flight back home or your journey to Zanzibar.

Extra binoculars, camera, sunglasses, hat and sunscreen, mosquito repellent, warm clothes for your early morning in Ngorongoro Crater, cool comfortable clothes for during the days.

Supplemental charges apply for all lodge accommodations (standard, Luxury, exclusive) on the following dates: Jan 1, Easter weekend and December 24, 25, 26 and 31. The supplement fee varies for the different lodge options and will be added to the price if traveling on any of these dates.
