Day-by-Day Itinerary
MOSHI/ARUSHA – NGORONGORO CRATER
In the morning you will drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, and after registration, you will descend to the Crater Floor get up close with one of Africa’s seven natural wonders! Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is considered one of the most beautiful and unique places in Africa. You will do a full day of game drives at the floor and have picnic lunch at the Hippo pool picnic site. After lunch, you will continue with game drives in the Crater floor search for rhinos, elephants, lions, buffaloes, zebras, impalas, gerenuks, just few to name. Ngorongoro Crater is also famous for bird life, at the Lake Magadi at the middle of the crater floor you can see, flamingos, pelicans Egyptian geese, and many more aquatic species. Late in the afternoon, you will drive up the Crater Rim for shower, Dinner and overnight.
SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast you will depart for the most famous and the first national park to be gazetted in Tanzania; The Serengeti National Park. On your way, you have the option to visit Olduvai- Gorge where human fossils were discovered by Leakey’s family suggesting that mankind started in Africa. Inside the Serengeti, you expect to see lots of animals all year round but it is the Migration herds that amaze many travelers. Resident animals include buffaloes, elephants, cheetahs, lions, baboons, zebras, and so many bird species. Enjoy an awesome game drive and in the evening before dinner is served, you will enjoy awesome views of sunset have a hot shower, and read for dinner.
SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK FULL DAY
Wake up for a full day of game drives in the Serengeti plains with picnic lunch taken at one of the designated sites, or if you wish you can do an early morning game drive then go back to the camp for breakfast then relax until in the afternoon. You can then go for a sunset game drive in the plains.
SERENGETI TO MOSHI
This morning, after enjoying a beautiful Serengeti sunrise. Check out at the Camping site and start exit the Serengeti crossing the Ngorongoro conservation on your way you’ll catch a glimpse of lions and other predators on their morning hunt during your game drive. Then exit the Ngorongoro toward Moshiwhere you will prepare for your flight back home or your journey to Zanzibar. Optional one hour balloon ride over the Serengeti
